CAN I TAKE THE PLASTIC CHAMBER OUT OF THE PoUCH WHEN I AM NOT IN THE WATER?
Yes, the plastic chamber can easily be removed from the pouch when not in the water to make it more comfortable when sitting on the boat.
WHEN I AM IN THE WATER, DO I NEED TO PULL THE FLAG UP?
No, the flag will automatically deploy when you enter the water and retract when you get out. There’s nothing you need to do to activate FlagGuard™.
IS THE POUCH EASILY ATTACHED TO THE LIFE JACKET?
The pouch is extremely easy to attach to the life jacket. You simply need to attach both sets of straps on the inside of your life jacket. Check out more specific assembly instructions on our How It Works page.
WHEN I GET OUT OF THE WATER, DO I NEED TO PUSH THE FLAG DOWN?
No, the flag will automatically retract when you exit the water. There’s nothing you need to do to deactivate FlagGuard™ when not in the water.
ONCE THE POUCH IS ATTACHED TO MY LIFE JACKET, CAN I TAKE IT OFF OR IS IT PERMANENTly attached?
The pouch can be removed by simply undoing the straps and removing it from your life jacket. It is not permanently attached.
WHEN Should I USE FlagGuard™?
FlagGuard™ is designed to be used any time you are in the water, whether swimming, tubing, or any other water sport or activity.

The flag raises 14” for optimal visibility for boaters and other swimmers.
Am I required to wear FlagGuard™ when I’m in the water?
Although we encourage everyone to wear a FlagGuard™ any time they are in the water, it is not required. We encourage everyone to look into the water safety laws of your particular state.
